The M & M’s meet the third Tuesday of the month from September through May for food and fellowship. There is a lunch usually followed by a guest speaker or special program. Barbara Smith coordinates local day trips about once a month to interesting places or events in the area, and occasional overnight trips. At Thanksgiving, we prepare food baskets for needy families in the community and we support other good causes. Begun and led by Simns and Ginny Jacquette for years, the M & Ms, which stands for Mature Methodists, was originally thought to be of interest to senior citizens. However, we have such great fun that we welcome anyone who is hungry and wants good fellowship.
