The Cave Dwellers

Our Youth Program is a safe space for our youth to find and deepen their relationship with God.  We meet most Sundays 5:00 p.m.to 6:30 p.m. in the Cave with special dates for Fellowship Activities outside the church.  Always check the Youth Calendar.

Youth Ministires

In an ever-changing world, where we are inundated with images and messages of what we should be, we want our youth to know who they are and whose they are without fear. To be empowered by their faith and cultivate the self-discipline to follow it.

“2 Timothy 1:7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”

Trinity’s Youth Program offers opportunities to the students to find and deepen their relationship with God through prayer, education, service, and fellowship.

Prayer:
Opening and Closing prayers from youth leaders, students have time to pray about what is on their heart.  We help students develop a regular prayer life, so they are hopefully at ease with speaking to God about everything in their life.

Education:
We are blessed to have several sincere speakers who share messages from the Bible during our Youth Ministry time. This introduces the students to messages from the bible, helps them become familiar with the books of the bible, and develop their own study of the bible.

Service:
Locally, the Youth Students volunteer for different events at Trinity UMC such as hosting Shrove Tuesday and the Youth Chili Cook-off and Auction.  We also participate in Mission Trips to be the Hands and Feet of Christ to those in need.

In 2026, we have two Mission Opportunities.  The Jeremiah Project, open to Middle and Highschool Students, from July 19 to July 25, 2026 in Romnley, WV. (https://youtu.be/II8MSordBqg) and a church-wide Mission Trip with the Appalachia Service Project, open to Adults and High School Students (including rising 9th graders), from July 26 to August 1, 2026, location to be determined. Fellowship:
Students have the opportunity to have fellowship with others like themselves.  To find joy in their faith like Sunday evenings in The Cave, special events like the Youth Bowling Fellowship, and more events will be added to the Youth Calendar as we progress through the year.
