Happy Sunday, friends!

Today’s TMail has news from our SPRC plus a few more opportunities to sign up to give your feedback for our Strategic Planning Process!
News from Staff-Parish Relations Committee
There is a place in the Bible that says God is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or think.  I have found myself clinging to those words during times of uncertainty when I can’t see clearly the path ahead of me.  I’ve been trusting God to continue doing His work even when we have been sidelined by Covid-19.  Thankfully we found a way for our SPRC (Staff Parish Relations Committee) to meet last month, and I want to share some of the “immeasurably more” that God is accomplishing at Trinity.

You may remember that we have been advertising for a new full-time Office Manager at Trinity.  God has provided!  I am happy to tell you that we have hired Samantha Borders-Shoemaker to fill that position.  Samantha sings in the choir during the 11:00 service.  We are thankful that Carolyn Hyman, our current Administrative Assistant, will be training Samantha during the coming weeks, before Carolyn takes off for retirement on August 14th.  Welcome, Sam, to the Trinity Staff!  Samantha comes to us as an extremely talented person and is eager to assume her new ministry with Trinity.

In June the SPRC approved a Renewal/Study leave for our pastor, and that leave was also approved by Trinity Church Council at its July meeting.  Pastor Dan will begin his leave on July 15-August 22nd.  He will be on leave for the first two weeks of that time, interrupt his renewal/study leave for a previously planned family vacation, and then resume his leave for an additional two weeks.  During that time, Pastor Dan will be spending some much needed time in self-reflection and self care, as well as doing some of his doctoral work. The United Methodist Church encourages this type of leave, and summer affords generally a time when church life is slower and can accommodate the pastor’s absence. During his absence, Rev. Greg West, a Trinity favorite, will be filling the pulpit for Dan and fill in other pastoral responsibilities.

                Immeasurably More!

Your Help is Needed
We are currently working on our Strategic Plan and we need your input! Whether you come to a session or give feedback individually, these are the questions which you will be asked to think about:
What is it about Trinity that you value? What is the single most important thing that Trinity has contributed to your life?
What do you think is the core value of Trinity? What values give life to the congregation. What is it that, if it did not exist, would make Trinity totally different than it currently is?
If you had three wishes for Trinity, what would they be?
If you could change one thing about Trinity, what would it be?
As Trinity engages the community beyond its walls, where do you think God is calling Trinity to make an impact in the community?
We have three sessions coming up which you can sign up for using the links below.
