Responsive Call to Worship
L: Come to worship Jesus Christ, Alpha and Omega, the one who is, who was, and is to come.
C: We come to worship the one who rules justly,
L: Come to worship Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, the ruler of the kings of the earth!
C: We come to worship Jesus Christ, King of kings and Lord of lords! To him be glory and dominion forever and ever! Amen.
“Come Ye Thankful People Come”
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
L: Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
C: Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
L: Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; (continued)
C: we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
L: Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise;
C: give thanks to him and praise his name.
L: For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
C: his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.
“Now Thank We All Our God”
May the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ go with you, wherever he may send you;
May he guide you through the wilderness, protect you in the storm;
May he bring you home rejoicing at the wonders he has shown you;
May he bring you home rejoicing once again into our doors! Amen!
