Starting April 6: Christianity and World Religionson 18. Mar 2008 in News & Announcements. |
| Jesus commanded his disciples to become “fishers of people.” Beginning April 6th, we will go on a fishing expedition of our own, through a six-week study called “Christianity and World Religions: Wrestling With Questions People Ask.” This special church wide event will include worship, sermons, and small-group studies; and we are making a special effort to invite people from the community to join us. The study is being publicized through The Smithfield Times and flyers posted throughout the community. Two new study groups will be formed to welcome our guests. There is a day-time study at 10:30 am and an evening study at 6:30 pm, and both will meet on Wednesdays. Please invite your neighbors and friends to join us. “Christianity and World Religions” is based on a video-based study of the same name created by the Reverend Adam Hamilton, founding pastor of the Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas. For more information on this special event contact the church office at 357-3659 or visit the church. To sign up for the class use the “Opportunity” section of the bulletin or send an email to trinityumcsmithfield@verizon.net. |
Recent Changes to the Websiteon 17. Feb 2008 in News & Announcements. |
| As we continue to refine and improve this website, I’ll post some updates for those of you who are interested. Recently, we added sermon texts to the website here. We are investigating adding audio files of the sermons, too. A while back, we added a calendar to the site, available here. I’m trying to keep this updated; we’ll add a feature so that users can email updates easily to the site easily. More updates as they happen! bob |
