SAVE THE DATE!!
Sunday, May 20, 2012: Trinity Homecoming Day

Trinity's Homecoming Celebration will highlight the church's year-long celebration of its 200th anniversary. Our church is one of the oldest Methodist congregations in the country and we have a long and noble history, rich with tradition and steadfast faith. Throughout the generations, Trinity has been an integral part of the life of this county and this community as we have served God and our neighbors.
The Homecoming Service will include a special Worship service on Sunday morning, followed by a catered luncheon on the grounds and local musical entertainment through the afternoon. More details will be made available as they are finalized but everyone should mark their calendars for this special day in the life of the church!
And make sure to spread the word! If you keep in touch with former members or others whom you think may be interested in returning to Trinity's Homecoming, please make them aware of the event and direct them to the church website where we will post up-to-date information. We do have a limited number of invitations available if there is someone you wish to notify of the event.
Throughout the upcoming year, we will be documenting and sharing with you some of our history, traditions, recollections and treasured memories of church events and people, information on the church, its architecture and artifacts, church programs and services, and testaments to our faith, as well as some interesting trivia. We want to include lighthearted memories and stories that will bring smiles of recognition.
These short articles will be printed periodically in the bulletin and in the newsletter. We invite you to share your own recollections and stories, and to suggest topicsfor information to be featured in these articles. Having your thoughts and stories recorded will help connect us to our past and they will be a priceless legacy for future generations. You are encouraged to contact Doris Rea Gwaltney (357-4821, dorisgwaltney@verizon.net) or Caroline Hurt (357-4737, rohurt@charter.net) with your thoughts and suggestions.
